How Do You Know If You Are God's Child?

1 John 3:10New International Version (NIV)

10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

God's eyes go to and fro upon the earth and nothing is covered from His eyes, so watch your steps and behavior, do what is right, don't take the easy way out, don't lie about it or try to cover it up, God is watching! If you hate someone, that means you do not have the love of God in you and are not His child. So love others, even if it's hard (and I know it can be sometimes) because God sees your heart in all you do and say!

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Love God Above All

Matthew 22:37-39New Living Translation (NLT)

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

What do you love? Do you love God above all else? These are the things that God looks at when you are standing in front of Him in Heaven, "Did you love me and worship me over all earthly possessions, people, work?"
Did you love the ones that persecuted you, did you let go of that experience and hand it over to God?
It doesn't matter how much you have here, love God first, because when you lose everything and stand before Him, that's where your eternal destination will be determined.

Choose Jesus, Live Free

Proverbs 14:22New Living Translation (NLT)

22 If you plan to do evil, you will be lost;
    if you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness.

A relationship with God is the most important decision you will ever make. It's the difference between a life filled with material pleasures, self indulgence and lust of the things of this world which God despises. Or, would you rather do good for others, have peace, love, and faith beyond understanding? That's what you get when you choose Jesus.

Seek God in all things, make Jesus a priority and repent, then you shall see the Kingdom of God someday, or be lost to the world and not see your eternity in Heaven.

Choose Jesus, He went to the cross so that you will live free!

Christ in Scripture

How do we know that Jesus is the Messiah? This Old Testament Scripture points the way to the future King of Kings and Lord of Lords

Isaiah 53:1-12

Who has believed our message
    and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
    and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
    nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
    a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
    he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted,
    yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
    and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
    so he did not open his mouth.

By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
    Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
    for the transgression of my people he was punished.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
    and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
    nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
    and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
    and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge[f] my righteous servant will justify many,
    and he will bear their iniquities.

Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
    and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
    and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors.

Love Has No Fear

1 John 4:18New Living Translation (NLT)

18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

Jesus is perfect love, so when we abide in Him, we know that what anyone does to our flesh, won't matter as long as we belong to Jesus, they can kill the body but cannot take your soul.
Those who do not believe that Jesus Christ is not Fully God and Fully Man, resurrected from the dead will not receive a place in the Kingdom, their fate is sealed in Hell. So my Brothers and sisters, repent and give your life over to Him. You will then see the Kingdom of God.

Where Do You Store Teasure

Matthew 6:19-21

Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy,and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Don't store your wealth here on earth, give to the needy, help others with your money and you will see the wealth stored for you in Heaven. If you let go of it, it surely will return to you in some manner as God sees fit.
Money is not yours, it belongs to God and it is on loan so use your worldly wealth to help others, so that when the day comes that you die you can stand in front of Jesus and say that you have helped others, not hoarded it for your own self desires.

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Be A Beacon For Jesus

There are so many lost people in the world, as followers of Yeshua (Jesus) we need to be a beacon of light for others to see. Your joy as a Christian is found in Jesus and should be shared this way. Many people will look to you as times get harder and harder and the world becomes colder and colder.

But they can find hope in this all in Jesus Christ, because he loves us more than anyone in this world and tells us to come to Him and guide others to Him.You will be persecuted at times, that is to be expected but hold on to the righteousness of Christ! He will guide your words  as you go.

Be blessed today my brothers and sisters because we do not know what tomorrow will bring!

Shalom!

Be Encouraging

Ephesians 4:29New International Version (NIV)

29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
For Adults be an encourager, speak good things into the lives of others, this is a blessing beyond what you could even imagine, the words go a long, long way. When you encourage someone you will most likely see a change in their face, an uplifted spirit. Jesus wants us to love one another and be encouraging.
If you are a parent of a child, you are a major influence in their life, children hang on to what you say and do. So if you are looking for the best interest of your child, suggestions:
1- Stop watching unhealthy programs on television that influence a child's behavior. There are many disgusting words and actions going on out there, why are you subjecting an innocent mind to that?
2- Say good things to your child and speak to them when they say or do things that are not right, tell them it's wrong, are you afraid?
3-What you do is closely watched by your family and friends and especially your children, set good examples and you will see good results.

Let others see Christ in you, for we are God's children and are to be a beacon of light for others to see!

Holding Something Against Someone

Mark 11:25New International Version (NIV)

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

The Throne of Heaven is where prayers are heard, if you are blaming, unforgiving towards your brothers or sisters, then your Father in Heaven will not forgive you, it is by that measure that you must stand before God on Judgement Day and He will go over your life with you. Did you get over an argument and let go of the control that it has over you? Did someone say something you didn't like, now you are bitter and walking around in bitterness.

Matthew 18:21-35New International Version (NIV)

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Will you be able to do this? To forgive, to let it go?
Why are you holding on to it?

Who Came From Heaven?

John 1:51New International Version (NIV)

51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”
There is only one God, the Father of All, He gave His only Son so that we may not see death, (hell) but through Him have everlasting life. Jesus asks us to repent of our sins, give our life over to Him and worship Him as the one and only living God, because:

John 3:13New International Version (NIV)
13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

Jesus was from the foundation of the world, When he descended to hell, He saw what the people had done in their life to deserve this, they did not believe in Jesus and followed their own way. So if you think you can just do whatever you want when you want, without repenting, remorse and stopping this behavior and not giving yourself over to Christ, Hell is your destination. But there is HOPE!
Trust God, repent, live for Jesus and you will truly see the Kingdom of God!

Heaven: Who Would Enter?

Jesus spoke about Heaven in His earthly ministry, who would enter?
He tells us in;

Matthew 19:16-28
The Rich and the Kingdom of God
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 “Which ones?” he inquired.
Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
So you see, when you lose your life here, meaning giving up your earthly treasures to follow Him, letting your will be His will, trusting Christ and prayer, making Him your Lord and Savior then he will acknowledge you in Heaven. Not through anything that you do, no works can get you into Heaven, no one making you do work that you are not dedicating to the Lord in your heart will move you any closer to God. Your relationship with Him is what is important, because this world is perishing but the Kingdom of God and Jesus are eternal and reap eternal rewards.

Are you ready to enter Heaven today?

Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
