The Christmas Heart

The Christmas Heart varies from person to person and when you are out in the midst of the crowds you can see what people are doing and how they are approaching Christmas.

There are the:

This is the time of the year that people are celebrating Christ, the stores are packed with people overwhelmed with shopping and buying more stuff that someone else thinks that they need, more stuff..... and if they really understood the meaning and not the materialism then they would understand the greatest free gift from our Father is"HIS SON".

People that Love others and want to portray Jesus in their actions.

There are people that take this time to buy food for the homeless or toys for children that won't get  anything at all, they seek out people that would like to be visited, giving a call to check in. Or bringing someone to church, to the doctor or out for lunch. These people care and step out to do things that are loving, noble and a way to care.

The heart is plainly shown as a representative of Jesus heart.

So I say to you, have you slowed down enough to realize what Christmas is really all about?

Let your heart be filled with the Savior for who we are celebrating the free gift that we have been given in Him, who came in to save the world.

Time to Rest

Mark 6:31-32New International Version (NIV)

31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

This is the story on the feeding of 5 thousand.
The disciples were so busy handing out food that they couldn't even stop to eat.
If you are a hostess in your home and you are feeding a crowd, most likely you aren't stopping to eat or rest.
But Jesus clearly tells them break away! Go to a quiet place where no one is and eat and rest. Isn't this what Jesus also tells us to do? We are so busy helping others we neglect ourselves, but we also need the time to sit and enjoy others as well.
Sometimes we have to get away by ourselves and just seek Jesus in solitude. After much work our human bodies need to rest in Him, He wants us to. So don't feel guilty if you need some alone time, it's good for you to seek Jesus in prayer.
So as you are feeding your company this Thanksgiving or taking care of others take that time to listen to Jesus,“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

Religion, not a Relationship

Had to post this today, yesterday I was at Women's Christian Conference and the speaker said how many are sitting in church and how many have a relationship?

Wow, that's BIG, because if you feel as though when you go to church you did your good deed for the week and now you are covered for another, that's wrong! If you look so together and Holy on the outside but internally your heart isn't right, that's wrong.

You are not washed my friend by the blood of the lamb.

You need a relationship with Jesus, if you are just going to church and not really seeking Christ on a daily basis why are you going?

You were bought at a high price my brothers and sisters by the blood of Christ, by His grace you have been saved! So think about what's being said, you can continue doing your duty and showing up on Sunday, or... you could have a relationship with Christ that never grows old, it frees you and it's eternal.

How do you get this life?
Pray to Jesus ask Him into your life right now.

Here's the prayer: Jesus, I am a sinner, please cleanse me with your blood and make me whole again. I want to have a close relationship with you, come into my life and change me, make me more like you. Amen.

If you pray this prayer you will see your life change, not like lightning but gradual life altering changes.

Email me with any questions.

When Life Is Difficult

Good Morning All!
This post is from my other blogg it's called "Life Is Difficult"
Check it out at this link below: Nancy

I Will Not Be Shaken

Acts 2:25

25 David said about him:
“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
    I will not be shaken.

Peter is addressing the crowds just after the Holy Spirit had descended on him and the others in a place where they were praying (Acts 2:2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.)
Peter is quoting King David's Psalm 16:8.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, He is before us and at our side, knowing this we should stand firm and not be shaken.
So as you are struggling and there will be many trials remember who stands firm with you even through the darkest moments.

Are You Thirsty?

Jesus is always at the wellspring of our life.

He leads people to us so that we may help them know that He is the Living water.

The woman at the well needed Jesus, even though she went for water to quench her thirst she did not realize the abundant spiritual water available from Christ. Living water that is eternal. So as you read through this scripture paragraph place yourself in her shoes. She thought she was thirsty for temporary satisfaction but she was lacking spiritual, deeper understanding and a relationship with the Messiah Jesus. Who is our living water.

John 4:1-26

Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman

Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of waterwelling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17 “I have no husband,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband.18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spiritand in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26 Then Jesus declared, I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

Return To God

Proverbs 29:2New International Version (NIV)

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice;
when the wicked rule, the people groan.

What is happening in the world today?
The current leadership is an indication of this Proverb, when people turn from God, circumstances dictate their future. They no longer see the blessing that they once had, they turn from God's way and listen to man's way.
Return To Me, Trust Me, Love Me above ALL.
How many times does God tell us this is the Bible?

Sadly people obey their sin more than the Creator Of All.

But there is still hope!

Let us pray for the hope that Christ gives us and that through these sinful times, people turn back to God and we can then live, thrive and rejoice!

Praise God

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Our life work with God is to please Him, glorify and praise  Him with our mouth. Everything said and done is not hidden from God. He knows when you are doing things that aren't right and He knows when you have a repentant heart. So remain in Him and He will remain in you!

The Lord Is Over All

Psalm 29:3-5

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
    the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

The Lord is over all. Do not let anyone deceive you and tell you the jet stream is causing turbulance or global warming is taking place. The Lord is over it all, He commands all from His mighty throne making waves and storms, washing away of deception through cleansing, showing us His strength.
Psalm 29:10-11
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.

But still the people of the earth continue to ignore Him. So as David tells us here The Lord is powerful,His voice is powerful and no one on earth is more powerful than the Lord God Almighty.

Come To God

Isaiah 55:1-5

Invitation to the Lord’s Salvation

55 “Is anyone thirsty?
    Come and drink—
even if you have no money!
Come, take your choice of wine or milk—
    it’s all free!
Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength?
Why pay for food that does you no good?
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.
You will enjoy the finest food.
“Come to me with your ears wide open.
Listen, and you will find life.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you.
I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
See how I used him to display my power among the peoples.
I made him a leader among the nations.
You also will command nations you do not know,
and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey,
because I, the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.”
Believe in God and his mighty power He is the only ONE that can save you and lift you higher than you can ever imagine.
Trust Him, Obey Him and above ALL....Love Him

Jesus, The Light

John 3:20-21 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

In the book of John, he talks about light coming into the world a several times. That's Jesus, the light of the world! He grants us peace, love, joy and a rich life with Him when we give ourselves over to Him.

But many people who love this world and obey it over God will live in darkness because they love the things of this world and cannot give them up.They love to obey the sin which ties them up and binds them.

So what does the light do? The light shines in dark places, are you in a place of darkness? Then call out to the one and only God that can save your soul from despair!
That's Jesus!

Let Go Of Your Stuff

We all have things that have happened to us in the past. Sadly some of it has not left us and we constantly persue what is longer held over us. How do these things hold on in our minds so tightly?

The good news is: We have freedom in Jesus, He went to the cross for us so that the burdens of this life will no longer hold us Hostage. When I say hostage I mean, still having the weight of it to carry.

Jesus carries the burdens for us and when we let go of our "stuff" He enters into your life with peace.

Can you imagine having peace? YOU CAN HAVE IT!
But you have to let go of your stuff first, then Jesus can work in you and through you.
be encouraged, He has it!

Galatians 5:1          Freedom in Christ
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

There will be Trials!

Romans 5:3-4

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

Did you ever notice how exhausted you feel after a trial? But when you look back you may say that was awful! How did I endure? Jesus carries us through trials and as we go through them He strengthens us doesn't He? Our character is built on hard lessons so don't be angry but learn that this is building you and getting you ready to help someone else who may go through this at another time.

Life By The Spirit

Life by the Spirit
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.  For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.  For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;  idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions  and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5:13-26

Why Worry?

Luke 12:23-27 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?  Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

God loves you and has always loved you, learn to trust Him.
Are you thristy? Living water through Christ is available!
Do you hunger? Christ is the bread of life!
He gave Himself up for you on the cross, who would do this for you?
Only God Himself!
Believe this!
Trust Him and your life will change!

It's Not About You

Many people follow a religion or church just to soak and feel good from the message, some just like the social aspect. But are you really doing what Christ has called you to do?

Which is to follow Him, not some protocol of a church or it's ideas that are not reflecting Christ.

Now that may sound harsh to you, but it's the truth.
Jesus calls us, to FOLLOW HIM and to make disciples, preaching the gospel.

Paul says:
Romans 1:9  God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you

Jesus says:
Mark 13:10
And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.

Which means: telling people about Jesus, not your church plan or work, Jesus first, and be a loving person just like Christ, isn't that what He calls us to do?
Love your neighbor as yourself.

It's not about you, it's about Jesus

Yield to The Father

Psalm 143:10

10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit lead me forward
    on a firm footing.

Yielding to God's will is a firm foundation in your life. Going your own way, down paths that are unsure without praying to The Father first will surely be a route with many lessons. We cannot follow what we want but must look to God for His direction, will and grace in all ways.

Will you yield your life today?
Go to God in prayer!
