Jesus Is The Light Of The World!

Matthew 6:22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

In Jesus Christ we are his lights for this world, He gives us the light when we follow Him!

Evil Exposes Sin

John 3:20-21New Living Translation (NLT)

20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”
Jesus tells us here that when you follow Him, (Jesus is the light of the world) you are in the light when you do the right thing, but when you sin, you are always trying to hide it, but I;m telling you, God knows what you are doing.

God's Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

That's being Born Again, that is when the spirit of God comes upon you and live for God, you give your life to Him, everyday. The Spirit of God walks with you, guides you throughout your life. Why not give yourself over to Jesus today?

Seek the Kingdom

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33 NIV

Look to God, my brothers and sisters of Christ, seek His Kingdom, do the right thing at all times and all will be shown, available and given to you.
Happy Sunday!

The Lord Judges His People

Hebrews 10:30-31

 For we know the one who said,

“I will take revenge.
    I will pay them back.”
He also said,
“The Lord will judge his own people.”
 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Following God is important work. When you follow God be prepared to live a life that is more accountable to Him for everything you do. If you are taking matters into your own hands, that isn't what God wants you to do, stop trying to fight all the time give the battle over to the JUST JUDGE!
So I say to you today do you live your life as though God is watching your every move?

Keep Your Focus On Jesus

1 Peter 5:10-11New International Version (NIV)

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Are you going through difficulty?. it may be short or long, whatever you are going through will not last, it will end! It will make you stronger! Stay focused on Jesus and all else will seem far away when you keep your eye on Him!

Jesus Is Always The Way

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.

That is you, God created you to use your talents and gifts to use in this world. There is nothing that can stop you from growing and learning and becoming everything God has intended you to be.
Through His one and only Son- Jesus

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

That is where we put our focus, on Him when you need that strength, not the world, not people,not things!

Jesus is always the way

1 Peter 4:11(NIV)

11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Free From Burdens

Philippians 3:18New Living Translation (NLT)

18 For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ.

So reading this, what is your standing with Christ? For Him or against?
You will never have the blessing to know the freedom that you have in Christ. Freedom from the burden of sin, which is like a large sack that you pull around because you don't know how to let it go and give it to Christ, He died just for that to free you from sin and shame. You will always be tempted to sin, but you will always have the Cross to go to when that comes up in your life.

Be Ready For The Lord

Matthew 24: 42
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Are you ready to meet your Lord?
What if today was the day He came for you? Could you stand in front of Him and be ready for your judgement? What you did for Him on earth?

When the Day of the Lord comes, it will be quick, you will see Jesus coming on a white horse on a cloud fighting the final battle of all time and history. But I say to you, if you aren't ready to meet Him now, when will you be?

Look Out For Others

Philippians 2:3-4New Living Translation (NLT)

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

People can see through a selfish person, no one can cover that up. So in this scripture Paul is saying be a humble person, be concerned about others and their needs. It's easy to get caught up in own own lives, look the other way when someone needs something or even just your presence. Stay in prayer and connected to God, He will always give you wisdom to know what to do for others.

God's Love Endures Forever

Psalm 118:1
Give thanks to the Lord for he is good;
His love endures forever.

I love Psalm 118 it talks about how God never leaves us. My Brothers and Sisters, hold onto the Lord, Take refuge in Him and know that He loved you before the foundation of the world!

The Year for Canceling Debts

Deuteronomy 15:1-3New International Version (NIV)

The Year for Canceling Debts

15 At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require payment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed. You may require payment from a foreigner, but you must cancel any debt your fellow Israelite owes you.

Jesus took the Debt and paid it in full at the Cross!

Dead to Sin?

Ephesians 5:14New Living Translation (NLT)

14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,
“Awake, O sleeper,
    rise up from the dead,
    and Christ will give you light.”

You are asleep in your sins, awake in Christ that is when you truly live! When you have a relationship with Christ, He frees you from that old life of entrapment to sin. Rise up and truly live my brothers and sisters!

Wrongdoers eagerly listen to Gossip

Proverbs 17:4New Living Translation (NLT)

Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip;
    liars pay close attention to slander.

Isn't it disheartening when someone is slandering someone relentlessly? It's very uncomfortable. If you find yourself in the middle of this, pay close attention...

Psalm 27- Rosh Hosanna

Rosh Hosanna

Psalm 27

Of David.

The Lord is my light and my salvation
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
    of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me
    to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
    even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
    and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
    he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
    and set me high upon a rock.
Then my head will be exalted
    above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
    I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
    be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!
    Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me,
    do not turn your servant away in anger;
    you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
    God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
    the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, Lord;
    lead me in a straight path
    because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
    for false witnesses rise up against me,
    spouting malicious accusations.
13 I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.

God Is With You

Isaiah 46:4New Living Translation (NLT)

I will be your God throughout your lifetime—
    until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
    I will carry you along and save you.

When you think God has abandoned you, think again!
God watches over you all of your life, when all have left you,
He has not! They can do anything to your flesh but when you
belong to God, He will always be with you!

Be Kind

Proverbs 15:1New International Version (NIV)

15 A gentle answer turns away wrath,
    but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Be Kind and gentle to someone who may lash out at you, this is what God wants us to do. If you go back at someone this only aggrevates the situation. Be Christ-like in all ways!
